From that spot out it will be hard to build a proper funnel into the Town Hall section and troops are likely to go left and right rather for the Town Hall so you will see many 1-Stars against this base or close 2-Stars with a decent success rate of some failed attacks as well.

This war base did perform quite well recently for TH12 and has some nice surprises for the attacker, including a tesla row, Inferno Towers on one side of the basethe offset Eagle Artillery on the other side and a trap core that is just devastating.

This Town Hall 12 base here is not like a usual trap base where you have this insane amount of hidden teslas and traps at the section with the Town Hall, this one adds one more step by having those traps at the opposite side. This is working great because the attacker assumes the traps are at the Town Hall side and attack from the opposite side and full walk into the trap section.

Inception of inception, if you want to see it that way. You will find enough attackers falling for this double-minded trap base that it will give you a nice defensive outcome.

Farm: 5. Most attacks will come from the bottom side and with all these additional traps there the attacker can buckle up for some nice surprises and not only a few failed here big time and barely got their 1-Star.

Farm: 8. In Clan war this base also works but I rather recommend it for CWL because risking to protect the 2-Star rather than the 3-Star in Clan War works a lot better with this base. For sure a very solid layout for Town Hall The goal here is to force the attacker to actually use a really wide funnel to get into the base but also use that wide funnel to keep troops on the sides and have a last line of hard defenses before the core, which works pretty well and I also like the general trap setup here in this base that is really effective against many attackers.

Farm: If you really want to prevent that 3-Star, this base is a great fit for you — make sure to use 3x Ice Golem in your CC as well — and you can also run it in CWL but I think Clan War is better because a high percentage 2-Star there is helping more.

Here we have a great TH12 base for pushing trophies up to Legend League that will protect your base and also defends several 1-Star. The offset Town Hall here makes it practically impossible to not get 1-Star but the overall performance by saving you plenty of 2-Stars and 3-Stars is overall better than simply going for a base that will give you that one defensive victory every 20 or 30 attacks.

This base looks easy on the first look for Yetis when you crack open the core with Earthquake Spell, but this is a huge mistake and will not work. The attacker will have a really hard time 3-Star this base. You have the two bulkheads with the storages on the sides and a core setup that will do everything to discourage troops to go towards the core. This base has several nice defensive features that will help you protect the 3-Star in your next Clan War, with a highly effective Tesla section on the back of the base, really nasty Inferno Tower setup protected by traps and also a perimeter setup that will give the attacker a hard time.

The thing is with this kind of setups they expect all traps loaded there but the traps are more on the inside so they will have big trouble after getting the 1-Star from the Town Hall and when attacking from the top they have the problem that troops will not get funneled into the core and go to the sides.

Farm: 6. The cool thing here is that you have a core area with the Bomb Towers and Scattershots that deal massive impact damage to attacking troops at the point when they already grouped up so you will get a high impact here.

Also, traps are around that area really heavy so also Balloons will suffer here a lot. Most attacks come in from the bottom side so you see there many additional traps to ruin attacks in the beginning and it makes sense to come in from the bottom side. Really great base for the current meta. The cool thing here is that this split layout will divide troops so they will clear one half of the base and then have a hard time to get the other half either because running out of troops or lacking troop power at this point.
